An Ideal Setting for e-MTB
La Ferme de La Tour is an ideal base for numerous beautiful rides on the wild plateaus and valleys of the Haut-Bugey / Haut-Valromey region, particularly on the vast Retord plateau. Its many meadows and mid-mountain forests are perfect for electric mountain biking (e-MTB).
Below you will find a weekend program allowing you to enjoy this wonderful nature, which has its charms in all seasons, while finding refuge in this haven of peace and luxury that is the Ferme de La Tour.
This is just a suggestion… but one that seems to satisfy our clients. The schedule can be adapted to your situation with great flexibility. Furthermore, midweek stays following the same model can also be arranged.
Arrival / Departure
You can reach La Ferme de La Tour by car on your own.
Furthermore, we can, upon reservation two weeks in advance, organize your transport from Lyon, Geneva, Oyonnax as well as from the TGV stations of Bourg-en-Bresse or Bellegarde, by taxi or minibus.
Friday
From 10:00 am
La Ferme de La Tour welcomes you. Lunch can be served upon request.
The afternoon
Settle in comfortably and discover the charm of this historic building and its 2-hectare park, its ponds, and its Sully linden tree in particular. If available, the owner will be delighted to arrange a guided tour for you starting at 6:00 pm.
From 2:00 pm
As an optional extra, we will bake the weekend’s bread in the old farmhouse wood-fired oven. You can not only enjoy it fresh from the oven, but also take a loaf home for your breakfast during the week.
5:00 pm
Our supplier delivers the rental e-MTBs to La Ferme de La Tour. We test and adjust them for the weekend, including any e-MTBs you may have brought, to ensure everything runs smoothly the next day.

Optional seasonal dinner offered in the dining room of La Ferme de La Tour by our catering partner.
After dinner
The games room, with its pool tables and foosball, is at your disposal. Smokers are invited to use the balcony of La Ferme de La Tour, whose interior is a non-smoking area for everyone’s comfort.

Arrival at the picnic spot, which will be either the Golet Ravaud Carthusian barn not far from La Ferme de La Tour, or, if the latter is rented, La Ferme de La Pérouse — a smaller version of La Ferme de La Tour overlooking the Maron ponds and their rich biotope.
The picnic can be organized for you by our catering partner.

Departure for the day’s ride, with or without an instructor who will have chosen the most interesting routes.
Please note that the Sunday guided ride is much longer and further from La Ferme de La Tour. The shorter picnic break takes place in a stunning location with views of the Alps. Picnic lunches can be provided by our catering partner.

What if the weather isn't nice?
The environment of La Ferme de la Tour has its charms in all seasons, whether it be a cheerful spring, a bucolic summer, a romantic autumn, or an austere winter.
It’s clear that a ride in torrential rain, even on an e-MTB, isn’t the most pleasant experience. However, the interior of La Ferme de La Tour has been specifically designed to make a stay as comfortable as possible in inclement weather.
If you are an enthusiast, you will appreciate the quality and harmony of its 400-year-old architecture, its furniture and paintings, each perfectly restored, showcasing the work of regional artists and craftsmen.
Vous tirerez de l’une de ses deux bibliothèques un ouvrage de littérature classique ou d’histoire que vous n’avez jamais trouvé le temps de lire, et savourerez alors leur lecture accompagnée, ou pas, par une musique de votre choix écoutée sur des enceintes Cabasse performantes. Vous découvrirez alors la formidable acoustique de la grange. Il en va de même si vous vous mettez au piano, ou au chant.
The games room and sauna are sure to entice you. Both the barn and the main living room feature large-screen TVs and comfortable sofas where you can watch your favourite films with friends or family. Not to mention the Mah Jong lounge and its meditation space overlooking nature and the elements.

Our partners
La Ferme de La Tour offers accommodation only. Catering services, equipment rentals, and riding guides are billed separately by these local partners and can vary considerably depending on your preferences. We do not receive any commission from them whatsoever.
We selected them based on their quality, which we cannot guarantee, and also on their reasonable prices. These service providers must be booked / retained at least two weeks in advance through us for better coordination. We will then send you their quotes, putting you in direct contact with them and simplifying communication.
Accommodation rates
4-day weekend — from Friday 10:00 am to Monday 5:00 pm
During the week: please contact us depending on the length of your stay.
Payment terms
30% upon booking by bank transfer, non-refundable in case of cancellation, and 70% at the end of your stay.
Security Deposit
La Ferme de La Tour has been furnished with high-quality furniture, paintings, and decorative objects. As a result, a security deposit of EUR 5,000 is also required at the time of reservation. If there are no damages, it will be returned within the week following your stay.
Without actual payment of the deposit and security deposit, the reservation will not be taken into account.
